Dr. Janez Drnovšek Park marks the 15th meridian with a marker and honours the former president with a bronze bust.
Coal mining shaped the Sava Valley for more than 250 years. The Mining Museum Zagorje occupies the former engine room of the Loke shaft in nearby Kisovec; photographs, documents and tools recount miners’ work, with a simulated underground pit.
In the town centre, Dr. Janez Drnovšek Park honours the former president and prime minister with a bronze bust. A marker identifies the 15th meridian, while Prelom tisočletja, a sculpture by Matjaž Počivavšek, adds a contemporary landmark.
