Winding Old Town lanes climb to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, with the Plessur nearby.
Walk up through the Old Town to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, whose history reaches back to early Christian times. Beside it, the Episcopal Palace and cathedral treasury preserve sacred art and the 16th-century Dance of Death mural cycle. The narrow lanes also hold medieval houses and courtyards.
The station places the Rhaetian Railway at the centre of a visit: its lines connect the city with high Alpine valleys and engineering landmarks. Back in town, look for the Bärenloch, a preserved corner of the old settlement, and follow the Plessur river through the historic centre.
