The Raadhuis Hilversum, completed in 1931, is the best-known work of architect Willem Marinus Dudok. Its cubic brick forms, horizontal lines and tall tower sit in a park-like setting, with the Dudok Architecture Centre in the town hall basement.
At Beeld en Geluid, interactive displays and archives trace the influence of radio, television and other media in the Netherlands. The building’s vivid cladding makes it a contemporary counterpoint to Dudok’s carefully composed civic architecture.
