Rooms at Beethovenhaus recall Beethoven’s stays and his work on the Ninth Symphony.
Springs and park
The Römerquelle is Baden’s oldest thermal spring, a reminder that bathing here reaches back to Roman times. The landscaped Kurpark climbs the wooded slope above the centre, with the Beethoven Temple and views across the town. This spa setting combines mineral water, parkland and 19th-century resort architecture.
Beethoven and the arts
Ludwig van Beethoven stayed in Baden repeatedly from 1821 to 1823; the Beethovenhaus preserves rooms associated with those visits and his work on the Ninth Symphony. The Rollettmuseum adds local history and collections gathered by physician and naturalist Anton Rollett.
