The ruins of Haj-Nehaj Fortress stand on a ridge above Sutomore, overlooking the Adriatic coast and the nearby Maljevik Bay. The defensive complex includes surviving walls and a small church ruin, linking the settlement to the region’s Venetian and Ottoman frontier history.
In town, Saint Tekla Church is known for its two altars, one Catholic and one Orthodox, reflecting a long history of shared worship. The coastal settlement also grew around a broad Adriatic bay, with the railway line and nearby Ratac ruins tying the shore to older routes and monastic remains.
