Goričani lies in the Zeta Plain, a low agricultural landscape between Podgorica and Lake Skadar. The nearby lake’s northern wetlands hold reed beds, shallow channels and seasonal birdlife, while the plain’s villages retain a quiet rural rhythm. The area belongs to the wider Skadar Lake National Park landscape.
The Zeta Tourism Organization highlights cycling, birdwatching and local food traditions, including zetski kolači and priganice. From the settlement, explore the municipality’s network of villages and lake-edge habitats; nearby Golubovci serves as a local centre and starting point for routes across the plain.
