The slender Érd Minaret is a surviving landmark of the former Ottoman settlement at Ófalu; the adjacent mosque no longer stands, and the monument has been closed to visitors because of its condition. The Hungarian Geographical Museum presents the country’s geographical explorers and research traditions.
The protected Fundoklia Valley cuts through limestone on the town’s edge. Its scrub and woodland shelter characteristic karst plants, while archaeological finds include traces of prehistoric occupation, linking a quiet nature walk with deep human history.
