The Renaissance Přerov Castle houses the Comenius Museum, with exhibits on local history, archaeology and educator John Amos Comenius. Climb the castle tower for a view over Upper Square, where burgher houses and remains of the old fortifications outline the historic core.
The Bečva runs through town and connects to green paths and the Michalov Park, a landscaped public garden dating to 1904. In nearby Předmostí, the Mammoth Hunters Memorial interprets an important Paleolithic site and the region’s Ice Age finds.
