Old town and Vergu-Mănăilă House

The Vergu-Mănăilă House, an 18th-century boyar residence, now presents Buzău-region ethnography and folk art. Its traditional and Brâncovenesc details preserve a rare piece of the town’s older fabric. Nearby, the Communal Palace adds a civic landmark from the turn of the 20th century, anchoring the central streets.

Crâng Park and local collections

West of the centre, Crâng Park extends into woodland around the Lake of the Lilies, a familiar local landscape. The Buzău County Museum and its cultural collections broaden the picture beyond the historic houses, linking local crafts, history and the natural setting of the Buzău region.
