At Hvitträsk, the National Romantic villas sit beside Lake Vitträsk, a quiet stop among the trees.
Estimated journey times
The stone Kirkkonummi Church dates from the 15th century and stands beside Fyyri, the municipality’s contemporary library. Outside the centre, Hvitträsk is a National Romantic villa complex designed by architects Eliel Saarinen, Herman Gesellius and Armas Lindgren, set beside Lake Vitträsk.
The municipality’s landscapes reach from Meiko nature reserve to the Porkkala archipelago. Local heritage also recalls the Porkkala lease period (1944–1956), when the area was under Soviet control; museum objects and landscape traces preserve that history.
