Castle hill and rotunda

The Rotunda of St Catherine is a rare Romanesque landmark inside the castle grounds, with medieval wall paintings and a view over the Dyje valley. Nearby, Znojmo Castle occupies the hill above the old centre. The surrounding lanes lead past churches and wine cellars, reflecting the town’s position in South Moravia.

Underground labyrinth

The Znojmo Underground extends through multiple levels beneath the historic streets. Its cellars once served storage and refuge functions and now form a guided heritage route. Back above ground, follow the town walls toward the Town Hall Tower for a view across tiled roofs and the river landscape.
