Seven decorated chambers in Županova Cave reveal limestone halls shaped by karst water over time.
Estimated journey times
South of the centre, Županova Cave opens into seven decorated underground chambers shaped by karst water. Discovered in 1926 by local mayor Josip Perme, it offers a close look at the limestone geology underlying the Grosuplje valley.
The Radensko Polje Landscape Park is a karst plain of wetlands and changing waterways; the Frog House nature centre interprets its habitats near the Šica spring. For a medieval layer, Tabor above Cerovo preserves a fortified church complex on a hill, overlooking the agricultural landscape.
