The Museum of Glass and Jewellery traces local craft through Bohemian glass and delicate Christmas ornaments.
The Museum of Glass and Jewellery occupies an Art Nouveau building once used by the export firm Zimmer & Schmidt. Its collections trace Bohemian glass, Jablonec costume jewellery and glass Christmas ornaments, reflecting the craft industries that shaped the town’s identity.
Built between 1906 and 1909 as flood protection, the Mšeno Reservoir is a technical landmark close to the centre. Its three connected basins sit among the Jizera foothills and give the town a broad waterside landscape. A walk between the museum district and reservoir links local design history with the surrounding mountain environment.
