On Piazza Duomo, the Neptune Fountain shares the square with painted Renaissance façades such as Casa Cazuffi-Rella.
Estimated journey times
At the centre, Piazza Duomo gathers Trento Cathedral, the Neptune Fountain and the castellated Palazzo Pretorio. Nearby Renaissance façades, especially Casa Cazuffi-Rella, carry painted scenes that turn the square into an open-air gallery.
A short walk uphill, Castello del Buonconsiglio served for centuries as the residence of Trento’s prince-bishops. Its linked buildings and courtyards span several architectural periods; today its collections cover archaeology and art from the region.
